Generator Manufacturing

ATS / AMF Included

Not sure which FAW generator size you need?

Correct generator sizing should consider more than the running load. Motors, pumps, compressors, refrigeration, machinery and other equipment can have significant starting currents. Solar and battery systems may also require the generator to work with chargers or inverters rather than simply supply a building directly.

What FAW generator sizes does GenTech SA supply?

The current GenTech FAW range on this page covers 15 kVA through 650 kVA, with single-phase options on selected smaller models and three-phase options across the wider range.

Are ATS / AMF systems included with GenTech FAW generators?

Yes. GenTech's standard FAW generator package includes automatic mains-failure changeover. The final control and switching arrangement should still be matched to the specific site and electrical installation.

Can a FAW generator be used with a solar and battery system?

Yes. GenTech has supplied FAW generators for solar and battery-backup applications where the generator provides support when solar production or stored energy is insufficient. The required control and electrical interface depends on the inverter, battery system and operating strategy.

Can GenTech build a FAW generator with a larger fuel tank?

Yes. Fuel capacity can be increased for applications that require longer autonomy or where access to diesel is difficult. The Shera Electronics Botswana project is one example of a 50 kVA FAW built with a 1,000 litre integrated fuel tank.
