The challenge

Understanding what the site actually required.

The required generator position was located behind the building with no practical conventional access route for a complete 150 kVA generator. The unit had to reach a platform inside a restricted area surrounded by the existing building structure.

GenTech SA solution

Engineering the generator solution around the application.

GenTech SA coordinated transport and crane operations to lift the generator up and over the three-storey building, lower it into the restricted area and shift it carefully into the centre of the prepared installation platform before completing the installation.

Project takeaway

Difficult access does not necessarily prevent a generator installation. With the right lifting, logistics and site planning, the generator can be positioned where the application requires it.
