A new estate development required dependable backup power when solar production was low and the battery system needed additional charging support. The generator position also had restricted space, limiting access to one side of a conventional canopy.
GenTech SA built a 250 kVA Volvo Penta generator for the solar-backup application and modified the canopy arrangement so the ATS/power connection section and routine engine service points could be accessed from the available side of the machine.
