The challenge

Understanding what the site actually required.

Henwil Chicken upgraded its plant and required more standby power during Eskom outages and load shedding. The existing 350 kVA Volvo generator was no longer sufficient for the increased plant demand.

GenTech SA solution

Engineering the generator solution around the application.

GenTech SA built a second 350 kVA Volvo-powered generator and configured it to synchronise with the existing 350 kVA Volvo set. Together the two machines provide approximately 700 kVA of combined installed generator capacity when required.
