Terms & Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
These terms and conditions shall apply to all goods sold by Gentech SA (Pty) Ltd to the customer.

PRICE ARE SUBJECTED TO CHANGE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE 50% DEPOSIT ON ORDER AND BALANCE OF 50% – BEFORE LOADING/COLLECTION FROM WAREHOUSE
No terms are permitted unless agreed by the Company in writing. Deposit: the 50% deposit is NOT refundable.
Finance options available on all Generators

PRICE EXCLUDES: DELIVERY AND/OR INSTALLATION (REQUEST PRICE ON DELIVERY / INSTALLATION)

Quotes is Valid for 7 days only/while stock last

LEAD TIME FOR BUILDING THE GENERATOR
7 – 9 working days (unless otherwise informed)
Please note when we are busy lead time can take up to 3-5 weeks and when waiting for stock it can take between 6-8 weeks.
Once Load Tested – Gentech SA will advise when to collect or when delivery will take place.

DELIVERY:
Any delivery note (copy or original) signed by the Customer and/or its authorized representative and/or its nominated agent and held by the Company, shall be prima facie proof that delivery was made to the Customer

COLLECTION:
Gentech SA will not take any liability for the generators whilst in transit vests by the Customer

ENGINE WARRANTY :
1 YEAR / 1000 HRS. From date of collection/Delivery
Warranty is only on Mechanical Parts not on Electrical Components
Warranty only applies if service schedule is maintained.
Please note if you don’t service your generator on the intervals provided your warranty will be voided.

CONDITIONS:
Generators must be serviced by GenTech SA during the warranty period. If Gentech SA does not service the Generator, one of our accredited technicians must do the service with OEM PARTS. If the generator does not get serviced through Gentech SA or one of our accredited technicians the warranty will be voided. If the generator is faulty and one of our technicians needs to attend to a call out, travelling costs and replacement parts will be for the clients, account.
PLEASE NOTE: if any other Mechanic/Person works on a generator, GENTECH SA will NOT take any liability for any damages or losses of whatsoever nature, whether direct, indirect or consequential and howsoever caused.

SERVICE SCHEDULE:
First Service: 50 hrs / 3 Months
Second Service: 200 hrs / 6 Months
Third Service: 550 hrs / 12 Months,
Continue once a year.
Service or call out to be paid in full in order for a technician to be scheduled

Please note this is a payable service.
Travelling, Call out Fee, labor and Service Parts

CALL OUT:
will be charged @R650.00 per hour and round trip km @R7.50 per km –
Afterhours/Weekend call out FEE – R1500.00 + R7.50 per km + parts needed for call out. Call out to be paid immediately, before technician will commence work

INSTALLATION: PLEASE NOTE – GENTECH SA DOES NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY –
When a generator was installed through the Customer’s electrician and something goes wrong. The
Company shall not be liable for any damages or losses of whatsoever nature, whether direct, indirect
or consequential and howsoever caused.

AUTOMATIC START:
10 SECONDS DELAY,
10 TO 35 SECONDS WARM-UP

PLEASE NOTE:
Generator must not run less than 35% of load for long periods this will cause glazing. All ratings are approximate and at SEA LEVEL. Engines need to be de-rated for altitude. A rough guide to de-rate performance is 1% for every 100m above sea level. I.e: A 20KVA at sea level is an 18KVA at 1000m above sea level (10% less) etc.

The generator will not be able to take the full load instantaneously. The load should be added to the generator gradually. 50% initially and then stepped up over time once engine is up to temperature.

Gentech SA has different canopies.
Canopy of Generator depends on availability and what is in
stock.
